Day 563
It seems our walks are at a different time to section 3. And I missed my friend. I hope she got my letter.

Day 560
Still no walks. The guard that bought the stodge today, told me that I should expect neighbours soon. Section 3 are getting split up.

Day 559
Everything seemed to return to normal today. Stodgy "meat" and starchy powdered "potato" bought by Simon. He sneered at me as he gave me the food. I still don't trust him

Day 558
I was surprised to get my letter today from the hugging guard - unopened. He said something about this week was a special week and he'd "let it slip" the screening process. I opened it and spent all day reading it over and over.

Day 557
On my walk today, my lady friend waved a white envelope at me today and smiled. It looked like she had just written me another letter. I can't wait to read it.

Day 556
I got a lot of jeers thrown in my Direction today from the other prisoners. Why? For some odd reason, despite the "security issue" I was the only person allowed to have my walk. I waved at my lady friend, who waved back with a handkerchief and a tear in her eye. I hope she is ok.

Day 555
Something odd is happening. The guard that hugged me two days ago, bought my lunch to me and left with a silly grin on his face. When I removed the lid, it was a roast dinner. A proper roast dinner. Not mushy potato and mushy meat. I can't tell you how good it tasted

Day 554
I woke up today to find a small packet left just inside my door. It hadn't come from outside, as there was no stamp and as yet - we've not been allowed parcels. I opened it tentatively and found an artists drawing pad and a range of colouring pencils.

Day 553
One of the guards came excitedly in to my cell today and hugged me and shook me warmly by the hand. He whispered "thank you, thank you, thank you" several times over and left again. Wonder if that is some kind of "getting to know your prisoners" tactic?

Day 552
Another cancelled day of exercise. The guard that bought my lunch was a little more talkative, and explained that there had been a security issue and until further notice exercise period's were cancelled. Wonder if it was because I have so many pencils?

Day 551
A lot of shouting from the other prisoners today, due to the fact that Today's exercise has been cancelled. I was going to ask the guard who bought my lunch, but it was Simon so I kept quiet.

Day 550
Took a stroll around the courtyard today. Saw Derek, looking particularly smug, who proceeded to give me back all the pencils I had given him, saying they were no long required. Not sure what he meant by that.

Day 549
I decided I would write a heartfelt letter to my lady friend. She seems so genuine and nice. I think I can trust her, I'm going to tell her everything.

Day 548
A guard mentioned (apparently by accident) that I was put in solitary because they wanted to "hide me" from an inspection. I thought it was because I had done something wrong. I think I was more surprised to learn that solitary is the only place that never gets inspected. Health and Safety is such a silly rule.

Day 546
A new guard bought my lunch today. Introduced himself as Simon. Apparently came from some other distant prison, but I hadn't heard of it before. Not sure I like him.
Tuesday, 4 September 2007
Day 545
Derek caught me off guard in the courtyard today. Simply said "Good Morning". For some odd reason it really put the rattles up me. I don't like him anymore.

Day 544
Managed to find a secure place to hide the letter. Derek doesn't know my cell as well as I do. Felt better for doing that.
